Dr Alison Green is excited to return to Stafford Heights Medical Practice. Since last at SHMP, she has worked in Indigenous Health, and in a busy General Practice at The Gap - both providing diverse and rewarding Primary Care experience.
She has successfully completed her Royal Australian College of General Practice exams and is completing her GP Registrar training time in 2018.
Dr Green has experience in all aspects of General Practice. She is aligned with the Royal Brisbane and Women's hospital maternity care program and welcomes the opportunity to provide shared obstetric care.
She has a Diploma of Child Health. Further interests and experience include
- Preventative health care, especially assessing and addressing Cardiovascular risk factors
- Chronic Disease Management, review and co-ordination, for conditions such as Asthma, Chronic Kidney Disease and Diabetes.
Dr Green, who grew up in Toowoomba, is a graduate of the University of Queensland, and continues her connection to the University with a part time Academic post in 2018, combining research and teaching within the Primary Care Unit of the Faculty of Medicine.
When not at SHMP or the University she can be found chasing her young children around parks, libraries and swimming pools of the inner north.
